Copper Electroplating

Electroplated copper coatings feature superior ductility and excellent electrical and thermal conductivity in addition to low hardness. Copper coatings are used as a precoat to improve corrosion resistance and adhesion prior to nickel-, silver- or tin coating. Copper surfaces can be passivated after the fact to protect from oxidation, or coloured (patinated) for decorative purposes.
